Public Observation - Classic Ghoulie Crust-tactular
Public Observation - Ghoulie Point
Whitefish Range - Southern (south of Coal Creek)
Date and time of observation:
Thu, 12/10/2015 - 13:30
Whumphing noises, shooting cracks, or collapsing
Recent loading by new snow, wind, or rain
Plenty of shooting cracks in the rain crust, which is noticeably more solid on the N aspect, whereas it's more of a sandwich of two crusts and a little intervening snow on the E. Both seem plenty slippery for the new snow that hammered down while we were out there (it began about 11:00, and there was perhaps 10cm by the time we left our second pit at 14:00). S3 ish, maybe greater.
