Noticeably less hazardous avalanche hazards here in Rescue Creek than what we found yesterday in the Swan Range
Rescue Creek to Mt. Penrose to 7900'
Mostly D1.5, a couple D2s. Likely soft, shallow slabs that entrained a lot of loose snow running long distances, probably down to 2/2 crust at some point in the track, but just as loose snow
Harder looking slab avalanche...multiple generations of windloading onto the 2/2 crust?
Small wind slab pockets on leeward (SW) side of trees.
